Westlaw Japan Case Study

Westlaw-case-study Westlaw Japan expands its service portfolio using KVH Cloud Services

Jointly established by Thomson Reuters and Shin Nippon Hoki Publishing Co. Ltd., Westlaw Japan provides a range of online services that integrate legal information from key international markets, including Japan. As part of its recent business growth and increasing customer demand, they developed Westlaw Japan Academic Suite to provide an online environment for post-graduate university students to efficiently present and exchange information.

Westlaw Japan selected KVH IaaS as the platform for the Westlaw Japan Academic Suite. KVH’s cloud services proposal not only met Westlaw Japan’s tight deadlines, but also had the flexibility to handle varying fluctuations in customer usage, which is necessary for the launch of new products.

Also, KVH’s solution minimized Westlaw Japan’s initial expenses by allowing them to grow their initial infrastructure from as little as one server, with the capabilities to scale the environment to more servers as required.
